After the promising start to the Summer season, we’ve had a bout of frustrating weather. High winds, rain, high rivers. This has proved to be a bit of a damper and frustrating not being able to fully take advantage of the new Season, with the small tributaries and streams open for fishing again. But our Winter months, despite some high rivers at times, yeilded some great fishing opportunities so we can’t say we have been seriously deprived. This is the beauty of Hawke’s Bay. We can enjoy fishing all year round, with all our large rivers available to cast your line in, 12 months of the year. So we can afford to be patient and wait for this unseasonal inclement to pass through.
